The Information and Technology Law Club organized a conference titled “Digitalization and Malpractice Litigation in Health Law” to inform students about what kind of differences the technological innovations in health law cause in terms of disclosure texts and their effects on malpractice lawsuits. Çiğdem Özmen and Ali Karakurt, both lawyers working at the T.R. Ministry of Health, participated as speakers at the event, which was held on Wednesday, April 24th at 12:30 at the Moot Court on the 6th floor of the Bahçelievler campus.
Lawyer Çiğdem Özmen started her presentation by explaining what medical law is and what it covers based on definitions and explained the malpractice/complication distinction through examples. Lawyer Ali Karakurt, on the other hand, talked about the administration's right of recourse to the defective personnel and explained the responsibilities of healthcare professionals within the scope of disciplinary law.
