Erasmus+

The Erasmus + program enables students registered at a higher education institution to complete a certain part of their studies at a partner university abroad through an inter-institutional agreement. The students who take part in the activity may be granted the right to receive financial support (a grant). The grant does not aim to cover all the expenses of the students but to support the potential expenses of participants.

In order for the students of the Faculty of Law at İstanbul Kultur University to take part in the LLP/ERASMUS Program which enables receiving education at European universities for one or two semesters, the equivalence of undergraduate programs with the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) was established in 2001.

Pursuant to the equivalent grades between İstanbul Kultur University and ERASMUS Partner Universities according to the decisions of the İstanbul Kultur University Senate dated April 5, 2012 and January 22, 2015:

  1. Table 1 should be taken as reference in transferring the course grades of outgoing İstanbul Kultur University students,
  2. Table 2 should be taken as reference in transferring the course grades of incoming students who take part in the program and study in our country,
  3. For İKU Partner Universities that do not use the ECTS grading system, it was decided that the relevant departments and European and International Relations Centre should prepare a joint solution proposal and submit it to the Senate for approval in order to establish equivalence between universities.

The partnership which was initiated between our university and European Union Universities in the 2004-2005 academic year has increasingly developed through student exchanges.

Depending on the educational level, the activity period varies between 3 months and 12 months (it could be 1, 2 or 3 terms depending on the system in the country) which will be completed in the same academic year. The educational level refers associate degree/undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels.
